NURSING INTERVENTIONS FOR THE PREVENTION OF ALCOHOL USE AMONG ADOLESCENTS: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Abstract
Alcohol consumption during adolescence is a public health problem due to its effects on health, psychosocial development, and academic performance, especially when consumption begins at an early age and may lead to harmful patterns and other risk behaviors. Nursing plays an important role in prevention through education, counseling, early detection, and support in school, community, and primary care settings. This systematic review aims to analyze scientific evidence on nursing interventions designed to prevent or reduce alcohol consumption among adolescents, following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and a structured search of scientific databases with previously established inclusion and exclusion criteria. Studies evaluating preventive interventions with direct or relevant nursing participation will be included, and their data will be assessed according to methodological quality. The findings will identify the interventions used, their application settings, nursing involvement, and preventive effects on alcohol consumption and related factors among adolescents.
