Mission, vision, goals and scope

MISSION

The GESTAR Arbitrated Scientific Journal in Health Research is a peer-reviewed publication in the health area, published every six months (January - June), (July - December), by SOARCI: SOCIEDAD ACADÉMICA DE REDES DE REVISTAS CIENTÍFICAS E INVESTIGACIÓN, edited since 2018 without interruption. It publishes articles and scientific essays from the health area. It covers articles that must be novel, essays, reviews and research advances, which are submitted to the consideration of qualified arbitrators, and they directly express the opinions of their authors and not necessarily those of the Editorial Committee. The primary mission of GESTAR, the Scientific Journal of Arbitration in Health Research, is to publish the results of research carried out at Institutions of Higher Education at the national and international level, to contribute to scientific progress. It also accommodates researchers from other institutions outside its borders.

VISION

To be the national and international benchmark for scientific publications in the health area, at its different levels in Latin America and the Caribbean, with high quality standards and methodological rigor.

GOALS

The objective of the GESTAR Arbitrated Scientific Journal in Health Research is to disseminate scientific and technological knowledge, through the original results, the product of scientific research, that represent a contribution to the development of science and technology. It includes works, products of scientific research and theoretical reflections that, due to their relevance, deserve to be published, and thus contribute to making intellectual production visible in a multidisciplinary context.

SCOPE

The GESTAR Arbitrated Scientific Journal in Health Research is aimed at researchers, teachers, students and the academic audience at its different levels (Initial, Basic, University), as well as the scientific community in general and other people involved in the educational fact.

In order to maintain the quality of the publication and its impartiality and ethics, the articles or essays received are evaluated by two external reviewers (peer-review) considered experts in the subject, who accredited as such those selected collaborators. , taking place a double blind review, (author / s-evaluators). In case of discrepancy, a third evaluation will be used, also in a double-blind process and following the journal's publication rules. The evaluators will act under the criteria of competence, confidentiality, impartiality and honesty, diligence, respect and courtesy.
