Resumen
La fascitis necrotizante es una infección bacteriana rápidamente progresiva que compromete la fascia profunda y el tejido subcutáneo, caracterizada por necrosis tisular extensa y elevada mortalidad. Se presenta el caso de un paciente masculino de 36 años que acudió al servicio de emergencias con dolor intenso en miembro inferior, fiebre y signos inflamatorios locales de rápida progresión. La sospecha clínica, apoyada por estudios de laboratorio e imagen, permitió establecer el diagnóstico temprano de fascitis necrotizante. Se realizó desbridamiento quirúrgico urgente asociado a antibioticoterapia de amplio espectro y manejo multidisciplinario. El paciente presentó evolución clínica favorable tras múltiples desbridamientos y tratamiento intensivo. Este reporte destaca la importancia del diagnóstico precoz y del manejo quirúrgico oportuno para mejorar el pronóstico en esta patología potencialmente mortal.

Abstract
Necrotizing fasciitis is a rapidly progressive bacterial infection that affects the deep fascia and subcutaneous tissue, characterized by extensive tissue necrosis and high mortality. We present the case of a 36-year-old male patient who presented to the emergency department with severe lower extremity pain, fever, and rapidly progressing local inflammatory signs. Clinical suspicion, supported by laboratory and imaging studies, allowed for the early diagnosis of necrotizing fasciitis. Urgent surgical debridement was performed, along with broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy and multidisciplinary management. The patient had a favorable clinical course after multiple debridements and intensive treatment. This report highlights the importance of early diagnosis and timely surgical management to improve the prognosis of this potentially fatal condition.
